What Does a Move Cost in Dubai?
Nobody can price a move from the number of bedrooms alone. Here is what actually moves the number up and down.
Every mover in Dubai is asked the same first question: how much? The honest answer is that a price depends on five things, and any company that quotes before knowing them is either guessing or planning to change the number later.
This guide explains what those five things are, so you can judge whether a quote is realistic — and so that when you ask us for a price, you know what to send.

Volume
Not bedrooms — volume. A sparsely furnished two-bedroom flat can be a smaller job than a crowded one-bedroom.
Floors and lifts
A ground-floor move with a loading bay is faster than a sixth-floor move with a shared service lift and a long carry.
Access at both ends
Where the truck parks, how far the door is, whether the lift is booked, and whether stairs are involved.
How much packing
Full packing for a family villa is a day's work on its own. Packing your own boxes is the biggest single saving available.
Timing
Month-end weekends are the busiest slots in Dubai. Mid-week, mid-month moves are easier to schedule.
What about a price list?
You will find "from AED X" figures on marketplace websites. They are useful as a rough sense of the market, but they describe a job nobody has looked at yet, and the final invoice often differs once the volume, floor and access are known.
We do not publish a price list for that reason. We quote from your actual move: the list or video you send, the floors, the access and the packing you want. That number is what you pay unless the job turns out to be materially different from what was described.
Four ways to pay less
Pack the easy things yourself
Books, clothes, linen and toys. Leave the kitchen, glass and electronics to the crew.
Get rid of what you will not use
Moving furniture you plan to replace is the most expensive way to throw it away.
Move mid-week and mid-month
The end-of-month weekend rush is real, and slots are tighter for everyone.
Have the permit and lift slot ready
Waiting time is paid time. A crew stuck at the security desk is the most avoidable cost in the whole move.
What a fair quote includes
When you compare quotes, check what is actually in them. A complete moving quote should cover the crew, the truck, packing material if you asked for packing, dismantling and reassembly, protection for the building, and removal of the packing waste afterwards.
If a price looks far lower than the rest, ask what has been left out. Common omissions are materials, dismantling, reassembly, and the second trip nobody mentioned.

Why will you not give a price over the phone?
We will, once we know the volume, the floors and the access. Without those, a phone number is a guess, and guesses get corrected on moving day.
Is packing included in the price?
It is priced as part of the job when you ask for it. Many people book packing for the kitchen and fragile items only.
Is it cheaper to move on a weekday?
Usually easier rather than dramatically cheaper — but availability is better, which means more choice of times.
Do you charge extra for stairs?
Stairs take longer and need more crew, so they affect the price. We tell you that up front rather than adding it later.
